Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to move easily. Avoid very loose clothing that could get in the way while dancing.

Please avoid high heels. Sandals or Crocs are also not recommended.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just bring comfortable shoes, a drink of water and a smile.
Everything else you need will be provided during the class.

How do I sign up for a class?

Simply contact Denise using the contact form on the website or get in touch via Facebook.

You’re also welcome to come along to a class and give it a try — new dancers are always welcome.

Will I look silly if I’ve never danced before?

Do I need any previous dance experience?

Some classes are suitable for beginners, while others are aimed at improver level dancers who already know the basic steps.

If you're completely new to line dancing, please contact Denise first so she can recommend the most suitable class for you.

Health & Safety

Line dancing is a physical activity. If you have any injuries or health concerns, please consult your doctor before attending and let Denise know before the class.

All participants take part at their own responsibility.

For your safety and wellbeing, we will ask new dancers to complete a short health information form before joining a class.

About Us

Sussex Stompers run friendly line dance classes in Goring-by-Sea, Angmering, Clymping and Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

Founded by Denise, a passionate dancer and instructor, our aim is to create a welcoming environment where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy learning to line dance. Whether you are completely new or already have some experience, our classes are designed to be fun, relaxed and easy to follow.

With several years of teaching experience, Denise focuses on making every class enjoyable while helping dancers build confidence and improve their skills.
